Very jealous!
Please let us know how it drives. I'm guessing you haven't had an opportunity to test drive?
Almost scared to ask but when did you order it?

Hi to all waiting for the Juke tekna 1.6 cvt in force red still not got a straight answer to when I will get ours delivered so my other half sent this Email to nissan
Good morning Paul,

I now write to you as a last resort before cancelling my new automatic Juke. What fantastic advertising and hype that was delivered prior to the launch of the Juke got customers into the dealership; flocking to see this new exciting vehicle. What a SHAME you are unable to fulfil your customer’s expectations! What’s worse that you will lie and make up stories to justify your inability to deliver or even give a date when the vehicle will be delivered.

I read all about your car plant and how you manufacturer cars delivering them to dealers across the UK. Very disappointing then for me to find out that my car is proving to be difficult to get hold of; and so MANY excuses as to why:

1. Dealer ordered it a week after we signed and paid deposit meaning delayed by one week
2. Juke is in quality control awaiting sign off
3. No transporters to deliver the vehicle on
4. Dealer offered to collect – No not company policy no one can collect the juke.
5. Juke has no chassis number but is built
6. Nissan state it is all down to the dealer ship they have done it wrong

Excuses Excuses!! What is the truth? When will the Juke be at WestWay Dealership?

The Dealer at West Way has excelled herself and really tried to keep us happy; however I can’t say the same for Nissan Customer service department who appear to have a string of lies and excuses; none I hasten to add are cutting any ice with me.

I now ask you Paul Cox – how do you feel about the Customer service I am receiving from Nissan? Not my dealership
Is this how you would expect me to be treated?
I would point you to the statement below, impressive words however not actually able to keep up with the demand I feel, and the customer is obviously being repeatedly disappointed.

Nissan Motor Manufacturing (UK) Ltd, or NMUK is a car <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Car> manufacturing plant <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manufacturing_plant> in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunderland,_Tyne_and_Wear> , United Kingdom <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Kingdom> . It is owned and operated by the European division of Japanese <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japan> car manufacturer Nissan <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan> . It is the largest car plant in the United Kingdom <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Kingdom> , and the most productive in Europe <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Europe> . It has been active since 1986.

Hi Robbohog,

I've ordered the same spec. as you as I'm sure others will have - gone for the red console plus the front and rear styling plates too.

My dealer is very helpful, but he is waiting for a date, no idea yet. Was expecting to hear at the beginning of this week, but when he called me yesterday he is now waiting to hear something around next Wednesday. In fairness I was clearly told about mid November from the 2 dealers I visited, but for the Tekna my salesman warned me it may be longer perhaps December or January! I cannot complain yet as I ordered on the 20th September, but let's see what next week brings.......

Okay so I have had the CVT since Friday, and so far so good.

I am not a petrolhead and tech geek (apologies to those of you who are
) so here's what I think of my Juke as a normal car owner.

On startup it seems very quiet, and once it's got going, even on the motorway, I have hardy noticed the engine noise. Yes there is a slight hum but when the stereo is on I do not hear it. I will say that itdoes seema bit sluggish on start upuntil it's warmed up, but that could be my driving techique and nothing else. No rattles or much wind noise either.

The ride is quite hard, not wallowy as I thought it would be, and the steering seems reponsive enough.

Everything else seems to work as it should, the Ipod works absolutely with no problems. I haven't put the Juke into Sport or Eco mode and probably never will, and can't say I would even use the Sat Nav, although that seems straightforward to use aswell after fiddling about with it.

The only gripe is the lack of more storage space up front, another closeable compartment would have been great, the Ipod connection should be in the glovebox for security reasons, and the use of hard plastics everywhere. Nissan take note for the facelift !

And for those of you who wanted to know whenI ordered my Juke : 23 June , delivered to me on 1 Oct

Let me know if anyone needs any further opinions

Awesome Phil, glad you like it (even from a 'normal car users' perspective!).

Totally agree with the above, more storage would be handy and the hard plastic, whilst is what we've always had in our cars (mazda etc) would be nice for something a little less harsh.

Thanks for the review, did you change to the CVT from a manual or auto? be interesting to know if you've noticed any difference?

Lol don't blame you, we've always had manual cars so we didn't even think about the CVT, plus the CVT costs a little more ;)

I don't think its a case of laziness, if you're driving doesn't involve the need to select individual gears there there's no need for manual! We borrowed a Volvo last week and that was auto, was just easy to drive, point, squirt, go :) it didn't stop quite so well tho, what with being nearly 2 tons of metal!
