One observation, small cheap and cheerful usb sticks of 2Gig will hold lots of music. Have several - split into moods or genres or artists or just a general eclectic mix.
Then you can change them as the mood takes you.
The big advantage is there will be less scrolling through long lists and more gettin down on it...........

That NEONis pretty pricey for something which could easily get lost & is only 8Gb.
The Sandisk Cruzer is a great brand, not that I'm biased or anything.

Don't think it would ever be out of the usbport to get lost to be honest.
Think the appeal for me is that there is one device with everything on it and there's no faffing around like it used to be with the oldCDs. It's clean and simple.

I make heavy use of the A-Z button in mine! I have the folders arranged by category (genre), then Artist, then Album, then Track.

random question but does the usb drive need to be formated into either fat32 or ntfs?

It DOES need to be formatted... pretty sure I've used both filesystems with mine, can't remember though. Will test it for you. I'm wondering if I changed filesystems between my 2 USB sticks that I used and that is what caused the indexing problems I'm now having.

Yes, it needs to be formatted to get any files on it, and its pretty pointless plugging a stick with no files into the Juke :p

Well I have files on my new USB Stick, and I didn't need to format it, so one assumes it was already formatted (it is MS-DOS (FAT32))?Edited by: acrorat
