I know from experience that driving a Juke is guaranteed to turn at least some heads, but this week I've come across a phenomenon that's now happened three times in as many days.
In short, it's the 'boy racer' who's desperate to take you on at the traffic lights — particularly if you happen to pull up at a red light in the outside lane. It's almost as if they suddenly feel threatened by the DiG-T badge and have to reassure themselves that their car's still faster.
Out of sympathy and a desire to conserve fuel, I usually wave them forward.
I'm thinking of putting a sticker on the back window that says, "Just overtake and give me a break" (which I have no problem with if they can catch me!).
