Hi All,

Picked up the new Juke last Wednesday (ex-demo from a dealership in Eastbourne that's closing down - they've some other Juke's (60 plate) for sale still) and then had the rear near-side window smashed on Thursday!

Had one of those rear centre arm-rest in it and wondered if the thief thought it was a laptop - maybe a word of caution to others if they have or are thinking about getting one. Took a bag out of the boot as well with bits being transferred over from the old car (trouble is that included an iPod, small camera, etc).

Icing on the cake is that no-one can get a window until the end of next week and even then it costs over £450! This might be the norm with new cars, but come on Nissan you must be able to do better than that. Even their Customer Services said there's nothing else they can do to help.

So, riding around with a bit of perspex coutesy of Autoglass at the moment. As you can imagine it's taken a bit of a shine off things.

Hope everyone has better luck with theirs.

Hi welcome to the forum. sorry to hear about your bad luck with the car. Its a shame when you can't leave your own property because some toe rag wants to pinch it. However as distressing and annoying as it is it will be fixed soon and then you can get back to enjoying you Juke

What a terrible shame - there are some really sick people out there who need a good kicking....... Sorry to hear of your tale but I hope your window is replaced and you can once again enjoy your new car...

All the best

Thanks for your support - I just hope no-one else has to go through the same. But there's a lesson to be learned - not to leave likely looking stuff in view (but with a boot as small as the Juke's I'm not sure where else it can go)

To answer the query, it's a gun metal DiG-T Tekna 4x4 CVT as it happens, with a few bits and bobs for protection stuck on as well (did have that rear armrest as well, but ho hum).

Was going to get a club sticker - do you think it'll look good on perspex?

A week and a bit later and Autoglass has finally got the glass and fixed the window. Now just got to do battle with the insurance company!
