I spotted a juke today in Portree. I couldnt believe my eyes, and luckily had my camera to hand as I was out shooting some street photography.
I've already preordered one in the same colour

Welcome to the forum. That was an amazing spot!
SomeNissanstaff have been given the use of a Juke for a few months,
and Nissan are happy for the carsto have some miles put on them, so
maybe that wasa member of staffwho'd taken hison holiday!

It's unlikely to have been a car for a dealer preview event,
as out of ALL the 30 or soJukes given out for UK
dealer launch previews only 1 was red. Much to the annoyance of some of the
people doing the previews, who think red would stand out better than some of the
other darker coloured Jukes they've beengiven.
The red is certainly my favourite Juke colour.

Jukes over in Japan have beengetting very wet recently-
it's the rainy season over there

I caught it again on the other side of the square, probably struggling to find a parking spot as its Skye highland games day.

Hi Marie -

Well spotted... Did you notice if anyone else around was looking at it and have you heard what others think about the car. I read on one of the car reviews that someone had been given a Juke to run about in and was told by passers by that it was the ugliest car they had ever seen!!!

Nah - for me that credit goes to the Renault Kangoo, Nissan Cube and the Nissan Leaf (electric car)

No Fee, dont think anyone else even gave it a second glance.
I felt privileged to see it as I've preordered without seeing it in the flesh, and I cant make it to the preview in Inverness tomorrow.
I know its a marmite car, love it or hate it. But I love how it looks.

Marie's 2nd photo where she saw it on the other side of the square,
(pic not showing up today on my PC)
was a shot of the rear of the car - the reg no was clearly shown,
so we should have identified it from that.

Ask your Dad if he got any nosey questions from people who saw it
(I would definately have quizzed anyone I saw driving a Juke)

Yeah 2nd pic isn't working for me either.

Good thing I cleaned the car for him before he went!

He got stopped in the petrol station a few times and I got stopped in mcdonalds asking if it was a new quashqui.Edited by: The-juke

Largely favourable comments I hope?

A minority of people seem to violently hate the look of the car,
even the guy doing the dealer previews admitted he'd had a small amount of abuse as
it's a true 'marmite' vehicle.

Any comments about the JUKE not being a manly car?
I can't see that myself. To methe Juke isno more feminine than a MINI or Audi A1.

That 2nd photo was square-on shot of the rear, beautiful quality again.
Any chance we could see it once more please Marie?

Lol, small world huh
I hope he enjoyed his holiday.
If I'd have known where he eventually parked the juke in Portree I'd be right over there sticking my nose in it

They are a great couple of photos,
would you say thatthey accurately shows the Force Red colour?

I haven't seen a red one yet, and in pics I've seen, the colour sometimes seems almost pinky or orangy and sometimes almost burgundy.I'm hoping it's something like the 1st 2nd or 4th photo below, & not much like the 3rd. What do you think Marie
(or The Juke) (or anyone else whose seen a red one in real life)

maries pictures are spot on for the colour match.
Thanks. I'd never realised how curvacious the rear Juke window was until I saw Marie's 2nd picture.

(What did your Dad think to the Juke/what comments did he get from others/ and did he see any people with cameras taking photos of him driving it!)

^^^^^^ Brilliant!^^^^^^
They are what I call 'real-life' photos -
untouched andrealistic, they suggest to me that even
when it's *issing it down with rain the Juke looks good in Red!

Yes I agree it looks great in red, I'm so glad I've ordered that colour.

The thing is I never have my camera in Portree, but luckily on this occasion I was out trying to get some street photography for a monthly photo theme thingy

I was so surprised/shocked to see the juke that I almost forgot I had the camera on me
