Found this on the US site. Should help for the Camera install

Heres what you need to add a cam:

A camera, I recommend an Audivox ACA200w , they cost around 60 bucks online and work great. i used this one, its weather proof and has an awesome picture.
Some hand tools, misc screwdrivers, pliers, etc
Zip ties and misc connectors, we will list them in each step as needed
Aservicemanual, this is the most IMPORTANT piece of the whole project, it will aid you taking stuff apart and locating wires. You can get one for a few bucks at Nissan tech infos website, you need at least the A/V section and interior body section.
Lets start:

1- remove the interior rear hatch plastic cover, it snaps off. See service manual if unsure how to remove it.

2- Remove the radio, it takes maybe 5 minutes to do, again see service manual if unsure

3- Install the camera, it goes on behind the rear lic plate in the same screw holes as the plate, put your lic plate back on over the camera bracket then. Easy huh? Your camera is now mounted. Now take ALL the wires from the camera and route them into the rear hatch using the hole that the lic plate light uses. They will not show as the camera is so close to the trim above it that it leaves no wires exposed. You may need to loosen this piece (plate light trim that’s across the back of thecar) to get the wires in to the rear hatch. Remember that service manual tells you all you need to know to loosen and remove stuff.

4-Powerfor the camera. Take the 2 camera power wires, now in the hatch, the ground can be cut and attached to the ground loom that already has a couple wires grounded in the rear hatch, wow that was easy! Now take the other wire which is the +12 and route it to the top of the hatch and into that nice rubber hose that has the other rear hatch wires in it. Yeah it takes some time. I used a wire coat hanger to pull it though. At the SAME time, let’s put the last wire from the camera, that’s the video feed one, though that same rubber hose looking thing.

5- Take the +12v wire and this needs to go down to the tail light. Feed it though the body. You need to take a couple screws out and the tail light comes off. Splice this wire to the + side of the reverse light. That’s the white light that comes on when your backing up. Congrats, your camera is now powered when in reverse only. Lets stop for a minute and talk about “fishing” wires…. Most the time you need a short piece of stiff wire to get a few of the wires “fished” between spots. There is not really any hard spots but it does take a minute to get wires where you want them to go.

6- Put your rear tail light back in.

7- This was the hardest part of the install, getting the camera feed wire from the top of the hatch to up front in the dash, yeah you have it coming out of that rubber wire protector and sitting by the top of the hatch now. We need to get this wire all the way to the head unit. You must “fish” it from that spot to the rear sill plate in the back door. Be patient and it will go ok. I used a 3 ft piece of house wiring to do it and had to loosed the subwoofer panel in back to get it down there. Again this is the worst part of the whole install

8- Are we at the rear sill now? Pop a beer open, cause it’s all down hill from here. It’s so easy a caveman could finish the install. Just fish the rest of that video wire under the sill, then past the door pillar and under the front sill, both sills pop off, it’s a breeze! Route the wire somewhere under the dash, yes zip tie it good so it’s safe and secure under the dash. And at last, pop the end of this wire out the stereo hole. You did read step 2 didn’t you?

9- Now remember that service manual? We are only dealing with 3 wires to finish the install. First look over the wiring diagram in the service manual. Wow there’s that service manual reference again. Yes it will help you, believe me. That’s how I figured this whole thing out by myself

10- We need to cut wire numero 23 from the nav plug in the dash. Why? This is the wire that’s telling your nav unit “ Hey, I don’t have a backup camera dummy cause im a SV” and leaves the backup screen off on a SV when its in reverse. Ok did you study that wire diagram good? Do not start cutting any wire till you know you have wire #23. After, just tape the end up, It’s just a ground anyway.

11- Now we need to wire the 2 camera wires in, and we are all done. See the plug that you just cut #23 off from. Yeah its missing the pin sockets for the camera wires. Thanks Nissan, that would of cost you 2 cents more to just leave in. Pin 41 and 42. We need to add 2 sockets with wires into the plug , but guess what? A standard USB motherboard plug from a computer has the same size pins. Take that Nissan. If you remove the pin sockets with the wires attached from a usb motherboard socket, they will fit into the Nissan nav plug. Leave the wires on the pin sockets and pull the wires out the back of the nav plug. Now just wire the cameras 2 wires into these two. Pay attention to the positive and negative Easy? You bet.

12- Install your head unit and test it out, you will need to adjust the height of the camera (it swivels on the bracket) and your done. Yes you will have the factory backup guide lines also on your screen!

It’s not hard to install a camera, take your time, and use the service manual if you need to know how to remove something and you will be surprised. If you have a friend or know someone that’s better than you at electronics, buy em a beer to help you. I did mine in around 6 hours alone, I took my time as no one had ever done one before. With these instructions you are well on your way to tackling a rear cam install too. If you find anything helpful that’s not in my instructions, post a reply with your tips and tricks to help anyone else to install one.

wow gets back up of the floor that camera must be more than the tailgate not mention dearer than most decent photo cameras on the market
All I can suggest is to search the forum I believe a European member did post up such a thread as they had source and added a rear camera, I believe any camera will plug in and work just a chase of trawling the net for info or as John said keep an eye for a damaged one

still cant get over that camera price its more than the upgrade to get the complete connect system installed

Your right deks , Ive been with nissan for 7 years and still get shocked by some of there prices . The Connect system at point of sale is an absolute bargain .To retrofit using all brand new genuine parts would be approx £3500 and tahts without any labour .

Not sure if you wanted the boot but still.
Three wires on the front lamp Power +ve _ve and door -ve
rear has +ve and -ve only. Dam I was going to run an additional interior light from that.
