Thought i would give people the beefit of my car cleaning policy.
Feel free to follow it.

Decide to clean car
Spend the next hour thinking it is going to rain so wont bother.
No rain present so move car onto road as i dont like washing the cae on driveway.
Spend 10 mins untangling hose so that it will reach car.
Turn on water and wonder why no water at end of hose.
spend couple of minutes removing kinks in hose.
Spray car with water.
Close windows on car
Clean car with car wash.
Hose car down using open end of hose .Use sheet method not spray.
Dry car with towel.
Go inside as rain has now started.
dry car again.
Use clay bar on one panel at a time
Put on wax as each panel is clay barred
Go inside as rain has started again.
Dry car again.
Clean windows with galss cleaner and apply Rain x
Remove wax from badges with toothbrush (Dont teel you other half you have used their brush)
Qucik going over with cloth to polish off more wax.
Put on jacket as rain is now very heavy.
Put all equipment away.
Next morning wake to find local seagulls have been using you car for bombing runs.

Why bother

That worked for me with my now traded-in Yaris Verso, who hadn't seen a wash mitt in five years

I think I was also lucky with the colour (Blue) being the most forgiving of dirt.

Thats has struck a note for me . I'm off work this week and my aim is to trap the 2 pigeons that my next door neighbour has attracted by feeding the birds by scattering food all over her lawn ( it was a family of over weight rats the last time ), they sit in my Apple tree and Pooh on our cars.
