I’ve read all the post re previous situs like mine so perhaps I need a new battery? Could anyone advise if I give a brief rundown as my car has had a specialist out and it still shut down after the initial drive. I had to have it towed back to garage and I’ve already been without for 3 days while garage tried to figure out situ. Been having issues for a while and thought it was battery, turns out it was the starter so I got that sorted. However, problem persisted and it seemed linked to battery not being wired prop. Got that sorted and it was running fine for a few days, still chugging ( thought replacing starter woulda fixed that but what do I know) then one morn after driving for 30 min then stopping for 30, I couldn’t re start. Had to get it towed to garage and on site re programming wouldn’t sort it so specialist was called out. Got car back and drove away only to find again that I couldn’t get in. Opened door with key, electrics still work but I won’t start. Once more it has been towed off to garage. I think it’s battery from what I’ve picked up here, but either way it’s in the hand of the garage now. Can anyone out there help me? I’m so out of pocket I could cry.

Hiya

The first port of call would be a full diagnostic code read to determine what code(s) if any are present. From there a diagnostic path can be established. It would be no good guessing as there are so many things it could be.

Initially I would suggest trying the spare key if you have one to eliminate an issue with your primary key. If you don't have one then it would be worth a visit to your Nissan Dealer to arrange for a spare key to be cut and programmed for you. This will then eliminate any issues surrounding the key.

Phillip
