Hi Jukers! I'm replacing my factory head unit with a pioneer double din navigation unit. I know how to do this part but does anyone know how to keep from loosing the use of the steering wheel radio controls? I know about the pac ps boxes but I can't find anything that would work with the Juke. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also some advice on a really nice install kit would be nice. Do I need an antenna adapter?

hi Kebo,

could you make some pics from the wiring connectors.
the connecting side into the Juke original connector.
then I can tell you witch wired (color) it is to the stearingwheel.
is there some tekst in the manual about this?

I found those pics who i made for a qashqai member with the same problems for another car unit.
U need to make a connection with the black wire. (between the purpleandyellow wire.)

if your new unit have 2 wirings to connect ( example AD1 or AD2 ) ??? you need onlyone of it.
these wirings are cut off I think.

Thanks everyone for your advice. So do I use the pac swi ps device for this steering wheel controle or something else or nothing? I'm installing a Pioneer AVIC 900BT that I bought about 2 years ago.

my english is not at that point to understand pac swi ps.

oke.. google give me the answer.

I think, your pioneer steeringwheel won't work without the swi connector.
post some picture's from the connectors , backside radio and wiring, because there are so many different acc.

you must work with connectors who fit into the Juke and connect to your pioneer.
search to shops who sell this connectors.

I think I found what I need. Here's what I found...

Steering wheel controls - I was able to get them working using an
Axxess-ASWC. On Axxess's website, they say the Juke isn't compatible
but you can get it to work. On the Axxess unit, hook power and ground,
and the use the gray/red wire and the gray/blue wire. Hook the gray/red
to pin 6 (green) and the gray/blue to pin 16 (red) of the factory
harness. You'll also need to ground pin 15 (violet) of the factory
harness to the chassis. This is what screwed me up for a long time!
After that the Axxess will auto program but not all of the buttons will
work. Follow the directions in the manual to program the unit manually
and they'll all work.

hoi Kebo,

I found it so strange that a pioneer , sony.... must need a ASWC of SWI .
these qualityradios are not cheap.

you know that I do groupsbuys for the dutch QQ and Juke members and there are no problems with the steeringwheel control buttons. simpelplug and play.
of course I try to help you for a working pioneer product.

regards, Arno
