Hi All.

A bit advice would be great. I previously had an automatic and traded it in for a Juke 1.2 Tekna. After picking up the care, I hit the motorway and drove for about an hour in 4th gear. I thought it was in 6th and being a new care I never noticed. Also having an automatic previously I was not that used to changing gear. My concern is that I may have done some damage to the engine. I did not exceed 75 and the rev counter was at about 4000 revs.

Was so excited about the new car I did not notice I was in 4th instead of 6th....

There was no overheating and I could hardly hear the revs of the car.

Kind regards

Your car will be perfectly fine. Some cars are geared to cruise at 3-4K revs. All you’ve done is wasted fuel by being in the wrong gear.
