Hi

Something occured last night which I am so furious about, I just wanted to share it with you good people who clearly appreciate your car and that of others around you.
At around 0415 this morning, I heard an ever incresing "thud", moving down the road close to my house. I looked out of the window and saw a "youth" kicking the door of the parked cars as he made his way down the road! Grabbing my dressing gown (applying a double knot on the cord!!!) I made it (just) to my door step before it was my Juke's turn! "Don't even think about kicking that car fella", he didn't, luckily he could not stand at this stage through alcohol. Good, time to ring the police then! The police were excellent although there was no "actual" damage as they put it on the parked vehicles, so he was sent / escorted away.
As an ex military man, it was all I could do not to cause his eyes to water! Glad I didn't, probably would have been arrested.

What is going on? Seems sometimes it isn't worth having nice things!

Just a rant.....thanks for the outlet! :)

Hats off to you!!
I don't know if I could have restrained myself. I think I would have wanted to choke his eyes out. There is absolutely no respect for other people these days. But at least you stopped him before the JUKE.

Narrow escape for your car - and the perp!
There are a lot of idiots about - and no shortage of b*st*rds either!

Our neighbourhood isn't too bad - at least that's what I thought before that new crime map thing was published.

Before she moved here and we married I used to stay over at the future Mrs Siemarque's place which was in a pretty rough area. My car at the time was a black BMW Z4 Coupe, the flashest thing I ever drove, and she had no driveway. I use to hunt round looking for places to park it where I hoped the locals wouldn't notice, and just worry - jumping whenever an alarm sounded.

Yeah =- I agree total wasters who should be taken behind a bike shed and given a good kicking!!!!

The thing is - should you have gone out and given him a kicking - YOU would have been hauled in...

Glad you got him lifted anyway..

I hate these folk.....

Moved into a perfectly decent area in village Britain with a left hand drive Jeep, and within days someone had prised the letters J E E P off the back.

Some people are seriously missing something in their heads.

On the brighter side, the Brat left her IPhone on a seat in a lecture theatre at Uni, yesterday afternoon, and today she got it back as someone (probably an impoverished but honest student) had handed it in to Lost Property Office.

Hey,
I found an iphone whilst out walking my dog last week!
I phoned the "dads mobile" number on it and spoke to the father of the young girl who had lost it the night before!
He asked me where I lived - I told him, but then thought, he just lives round the corner, whilst Im out with the dog anyway, I will pop it through his letterbox. ( I didnt for a second think he would remember my address).
I never thought any more of it till yesterday when the said "dad" and daughter turned up at my house with a lovely box of chocolates and what looked a very expensive hand made thank you card!

I just felt good to have gotten the phone back to its owner.....TBH, 10yrs ago I would have kept it for myself, but you mellow as you age I think? Or is it that Im not as skint nowadays?

I'd be completely miserable if I lost mine, so if I found one (or any phone really) I'd relate to the loser and do what you did. Lucky the lassie didn't have a keypad lock set
. The Find My IPhone app is well worth considering though.

My brand-new Clio (years ago) got keyed in the 1st week.
The next week they (assuming it was the same [email protected] I mean "underprivileged unfortunates" each time) evened the job up.

Never felt the same about the car again. Mind you, it was a piece of rubbish. You'd lean against the side and the whole thing just bent inwards. Got it because a friend works at their HQ and got me a 22% discount. Never again. Well, never say never but you know what I mean.

What is it with these scum bags. My mate had his wing mirror kicked off the other night along with every other car on his street. My Nav wasn't a week old when someone keyed it
A friend saw the guy do it and shouted, couldn't catch em, it was all on CCTV but apparently that wasn't enough evidence??? or should it mean it was too much paperwork for the useless CPS to only never take it to court.Scum are breeding scum

That isunbelievable, I cannot believe that is not enough evidence but then again Isaw a lady being attacked by another woman a few weeks back in Tesco express because the attacker thought the other woman had stolen her parking space, which is total crap as I was in the car parked next to her at the time.Even though I gave a statement and gave the attackers reg number and it was on CCTV they did not have enough evidence?!?!?! Totally useless!!!

Wow....not good, how much did that cost to put right if you don't mind me asking?

Have decided to look out for some secure parking if anything else takes place. Just hate that niggle in the back of your mind to look out of the curtains every now and then! I guess if it's going to happen........then that's it.

Any ideas about renting secure parking / garages guys?

I had a mate's garage spray it, they done the whole bonnet and blend into the wings for £450, the key mark was done in the metal in some places
.After this I went for an aftermarket alarm that had a dual proximity sensor fitted (which means if any one is standing close to the vehicle it will sounds a warming/chirp if they stay there the alarm will sound. It won;t prevent it but it is a deterrent. You can rent some garages for as little as £10 a week (Can only give reference from my neighbourhood ..... the bronx
)
