Juke delivered yesterday and for the most part, great.
However some of you will have seen my post that dealer/broker screwed up between them and interior was delivered incorrectly in carbon when it should have been red

I still like the car but that bit is bugging me and I want to LOVE IT!!!!
So, my query is;
Would it possible to respray the interior console?
Any ideas of price?
Any recommendations of where would do it?

its possible to paint anything you just need to go to a reputable paint shop and get a price you need to work out how long it will take to strip and refit it as this will go on the costs its hard to say how much as different areas and garages charge different amounts figuring on time involved I reckon you will be looking between £300- £500

I think you would damage the resale value of your car.

Not sure why you accepted the grey one if you ordered and wanted a red console?

Thanks Deks, I will have a phone round on Monday.
Long story Thornton, but because the broker and the dealer couldn't agree who was responsible for the **** up; the car was sitting in a compound waiting for them to sort it out and I had no car. (Had sold mine once I got delivery date)
They said they could not get new part, refit & deliver until they agreed whose fault it was. New part about 6 weeks, noone would provide courtesy car. To order a new one in correct spec would have been due date of April!
I the end i agreed to accept car with compensation as I was desperate to get something.
Not too worried about resale value as on a 3 year deal; plus the paperwork says red console originally. I willask the lease company before I do it.

personally i think the grey(i assume) this is the colour you have suits black better than red anyway
i know its a personal thing adn tbh if i asked for something and they gave me something different i would never be happy cant see it will make any difference to resale as long as its not a garish colour like lime green i am assuming you are going for the red i might enquire with lease company only as they may what it putting back or charge accordingly mind if it says red on invoice i wouldnt bother just ge it done they probably wont even notice

If that is what you think, that is fine. If a leasing company discover part of the car has been made non-standard, they will take a different view, and if it was being traded-in and the buying dealer discovered it, they would also mark it down. Any irreversible modification damages the resale. It's a fact.

Sorry you are wrong he is considering changing from the standard grey to the standard red,
how you believe that will be detrimental is beyond me, granted his lease company might see it different but then as his invoice says red interior he will only be changing it to that. as for resale it will only affect its value if one interior colour proves harder to shift than the other, this wont become apparent until dealers start trying to sell them used and then its still a matter of personal choice
personally I think Nissan have missed a trick but not allowing customers to choose colour or at least match it to car.

Again, you are entitled to your opinion. However, how do you know that a resprayed console panel would have the same finish as the original? Is the console specially treated? Etc, etc...

Oh, and the red console comes with red door trim accents, doesn't it?

i grant you the paint colour changes are not the only issue inside, as if its an acenta it with have colour inserts in the seats aswell as door panels, something for OP to consider.
as for paint finish if he goes to a good reputable body shop i suspect it will have a better finish,
i know my bodyshops paint work is far better than any manufacturers paint work.
i did say in first post it needs to be a decent job not one done by bob in his garage.
I also said that i think the grey suits the black better than red would.

Is a Tekna spec so has the standard grey/red leather seats which go well with both consolesI think. Yes, it would be the standard red I went for. Have a look in gallery at iamdabe's Juke - that is a Tekna in black with red - let me know what you think!
Any ideas on finding a quality bodyshop appreciated- not something I have had to do before.

word of mouth if you lived near me i could help but not where you
you need a privately owned operation with good work levels
and possible someone that likes a bit of cash

however is it really worth the grief still getting a price can't hurt.
could always ask the dealer who they use.

Of course, the choice of red or grey is a completely personal preference. I would choose the grey, but I'm boring!!

My main point is, if you change the console, would you not also want/need to change the door trims?

See Iamdabes picture below..

Well I'd you have the invoice with red specified on it then its not the car you specified so get in touch with the lease company, thinly vaile a threat to with hold the payments until its resolved. They will soon out pressure on the supplier to sort it out .
It's not up to you to fix there mess at your expense .

these parts ur refering to just clip into position, u may be able to find a dealer or specialist fitter and just buy the red set and change over, and then sell ur grey parts on ebay or something, pretty sure nissan sell interior service parts.

The OP has already done a deal to accept the grey interior. This means the lease company and the dealer can wash their hands of the problem now.....

I'm sure you won't be the onlyowner to receive the wrong order.I can see some 'swap interior colour' advertisements coming soon.
