Does anybody know what the automatic function of the air intake/recycling button is supposed to do?<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" />
When the car first starts neither the “external air” nor the “air recirculation” light is on.
According to the Book Of Juke (Chapter 4 Verse 11) this is “Automatic air intake control”.
I had something like this on a Hyundai Tucson a few years ago – it switched to internal if it detected exhaust fumes in the air.
It then switched back to external when the air outside cleared. It worked great.
However in the Juke, when neither light is on, exhaust fumes still come in and I have to switch to internal manually.
So the question is:
Is the Juke’s system supposed to work the same way as the <?: prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice:smarttags" /><st1:City><st1lace>Tucson</st1lace></st1:City>’s, and it just doesn’t do it very well?
Is it supposed to work the same way as the <st1:City><st1lace>Tucson</st1lace></st1:City>’s – and does, but mine’s faulty?
Is it supposed to do something else – if so, what?
