Just washed my Juke and have noticed stone chips already on the front of the bonnet. I know you can get that funny looking bonnet protector, just wondered if others have chips already and what you think of the bonnet protector !

Chips? That'll be a feature of the white Juke then. You should have had some paint put on!

Martin

I havent a chip on the paintwork but my sidelights damaged by debris has taken a chunk out of it.

Pretty gutted but it could have been worse. hope you manage to get yours sorted

Aaaargh.

That happened to my Yaris Verso first time abroad (French Supermarket).

And two days later (another French Supermarket) someone 'drove' their shopping trolley down the other side (amazingly whilst my daughter was in the car and the trolley driver just shrugged (it's a Gallic thing
) and walked away).

Bl**dy **** - time to make it moreaggressivelooking Martin. Get a dog or perhaps a sticker that says - BEWARE, THIS CAR BITES BACK!!! or THIS CAR IS FITTED WITH CCTV ALL ROUND - TOUCH IT IF YOU DARE...
Bet that will do absolutely nothing but, what can you do?
The stone chips can be repaired by specialists (if not your own dealer with some persuasion about the paint being too soft) and then have it protected with the glaze that you get. Can't remember the name of it, something like Scotchguard.

This link cannot be opened... is that a DIY Acrorat?
I was looking for professionals to do it. I always end up making a mess with stuff like that.

Thanks Acrorat. It seems I can get someone to do the whole car for maybe less than £200.I would buy the proper resins and so on and do it myself with elbow grease but, I don't have a garage to keep the car clean till it is done.I will maybe ask my dealer to quote even though it might be a rip off. You never know though, I might get a discounted price.

Fee wouldn't appreciate it..........
Why - think I haven't got a sense of humour?

Love to see a photo of a scottish bouncer...... ( The long lost ancestor of Mrs Mangles labrador in Neighbours)
