just try pairing the device on the car screen again or if that doesn't work delete the device from the car and follow the procedure for pairing a new device and see if it sorts itself out.
Nissan themselves state in the Connect Instruction manual that the iPhone does have a couple of issues and officially they don't support them.
One of the issues is quoted below:
"it has been found hat the iPhone will disconnect the USB connection after a phone call is made from the iPhone when connected to NISSAN Connect via Bluetooth. Disconnecting and reconnecting the iPhone USB connection after the phone call has ended will allow USB function to work correctly again"

saying that, I use Bluetooth Audio with my Blackberry to play music. The sound quality is great, but at times it looses the bluetooth connection an then it will restart.
