Hi everyone,

I am considering purchasing a 1.6 Tekna, automatic, however the one i've just ordered the sale has fallen through due to gearbox failure! It was a 2014 CVT. I have now read that Nissan upgraded to XTronic on some of the newer models. I was hoping to buy older model due to my budget however i'm now concerned this may be a problem?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Be careful when buying an early automatic Juke. I bought a new Juke Tekna in 2011, and the CVT failed at just 18,000 miles. Fortunately it was just in warranty! I wasn't confident that the replacement unit would last any longer than the first, so I sold it when the mileage reached 36,000.
Do a Google search with 'Juke CVT failure '. You'll find that the problem is not that uncommon.
