Hi all

Hoping somebody is able to shed some light on why my car won’t start.

Unfortunately the car has suffered a front end (lower bumper section) collision and subsequently also now has roof damage from a pallet dropping onto it.

No air bags have deployed or any radiator damage etc.
Ignition turns on but there start button only brings up an engine malfunction system fault.

is there a cut off switch or similar on these?

please advice

Hi Tabz,

Sorry To hear this, I’m possibly very late in coming back to your post but it sounds like the fuel system may have shut down.
I believe this is standard on a lot of newer cars. Any ‘Hardish’ impact will have the system shut off.
Without checking the manual 🙄 there is usually a soft button located in the engine bay towards the bulkhead area that you’d press & it gets things running again..
im sure someone with more knowledge will correct me..
However, I do hope you’ve got it sorted?
