I've been driving around the country for a month in a pre-launch edition of the new Juke Nismo. It's just a great vehicle that delivers at all levels - very much in line with it's Nissan motorsport associations.
2013 Nissan Juke Nismo (Pearl White)
Now delivering power at 200PS (197 bhp) and 250 Nm of torque, the engine gives a great experience as you chase it up through the 6-speed manual gear box. Maximum power is now available at 6000 rpm, up from 5600 rpm, and this provides the driver with a real thrill as you watch the needle move around the red rev counter dial. The higher torque enables you to change gear much earlier so you can achieve great fuel economy figures in "Eco" mode on the NDCS.
Just look at the images - it's great to look at!
With the stiffness beefed up by 10%, the suspension really keeps you in touch with what's going on between the steering and the tyres. Whilst it's stiffer, it's by no means uncomfortable. If anything, it's very forgiving and enables sure-footed cornering as well as fantastic straight line stability.
Wheel and Tire
Fitted with unique 10-spoke Nismo styled wheels that are painted in Graphite Gloss with bright metal surrounds, the tyres are wider and lower than on current Jukes. Tyres are 225 x 45 R18 up from 215 x 55.
